Michal joined Airdrie FC’s coaching staff with 10 years of professional playing experience in the game across 4 different countries. At 18 he became a professional soccer player when signing with English Premiership club, Sunderland AFC. He went on to play for various clubs across Europe while also representing the Canadian National team at the U17’s and U20’s level while also playing for the Canadian Men’s Olympic team. Michal’s playing career and vast knowledge of the game brings a wealth of experience on and off the field to Airdrie FC.

Michal started his role at AFC as the programs goalkeeper coach and later grew into the role of the Assistant Technical Director. Now as the Director of Player Development he is responsible for programming design and delivery, player evaluation and selection, goalkeeper training and working closely with Club coaches and their teams. Michal currently holds his UEFA C License and his CSA Youth License, while also a candidate for the CSA B Licence. Michal has held positions as the GK coach at MRU University Men’s team and Vancouver Whitecaps Calgary MLS U16 boys and girls teams.

Allan Siwela is joining ADSA from Olds College. Allan joined Olds College as Head Men's & Women's Soccer & Futsal Coach in January 2022.

Prior to his arrival at Olds college, Siwela served as the Assistant Soccer & Futsal Coach at Medicine Hat College from 2017-2018 and again in 2021. While on the Rattlers staff, Siwela helped coach the Women's squad to the 2017 and 2018 ACAC Championships where they won Gold medals. With the Men’s team, he helped them to the top of the podium in 2017 as Gold medalists.

Allan Siwela is a Canada Soccer - National B Licensed coach. In addition to his post-secondary coaching duties, he has served in multiple coaching roles with various youth soccer associations across Alberta. He has held positions as Coordinator of Player and Coach Development, Boys Club Director, and head coach for Alberta Summer Games (2018) and Alberta Winter Games (2020).

A born and raised Calgarian, Paul has been a consistent leader in the soccer and local community for the past 30 years. As one of the first full-time technical directors in Calgary with the Chinooks Soccer Club (2000-2006) he then led the National Sport Academy (2006-2012) and most recently MUSC (2012-2025) where he built the club portfolio acquiring its National Youth License. One of the defining characteristics that Paul brings to our team is his deep investment in players personal character development, not only high-performance player development, with the understanding that the skills players acquire on the pitch are a vehicle to success off the field.

In recognition of his long-term commitment to the game Paul was awarded the Bert Gold Berger award by Alberta Soccer in 2016 for innovation and impact on the game. A student of the game at heart, Paul is a National B, Youth and Children’s licensed coach in Canada as well as numerous BFUT , NCCP and AYSO licenses.

Grassroots & Community Coordinator

Quayes is a passionate and dedicated coach with over a decade of experience in the sport. Having played at every level of soccer, including trialing for professional academies and universities, he aims to become the coach that young players need when being introduced to soccer.

He has coached at various levels, and emphasizes the importance of improving off the field just as much as on the field. Quayes is currently studying Sociology at the University of Calgary, with a focus on the impact of sports in child development.

Technical Coach

Bradey is another great addition to our Technical Team. He is also a former player, now pursuing his passion for Coaching. He is now working for ADSA as a technical coach. Bradey graduated from Olds College with a Sports Management diploma and Business Management certificate. Soccer has always been a big passion of his, going all the way back to when he was a player at AFC. Bradey is now looking forward to growing more in a coach/trainer role under the club

Technical Coach

Will is a dedicated soccer coach with over 45 years of involvement in the game. His journey in soccer began at a young age, playing on the streets and neighbourhoods of Douala, Cameroon, his country of birth. With more than a decade of coaching experience, Will has honed his coaching skills across various levels, from Grassroots programs to Provincial youth academies. His commitment to player development and his ability to inspire young athletes have been the cornerstones of his coaching philosophy.

Will holds several certifications in coaching, including:

Canada Soccer Children's License, CSA Youth License and CSA B. Obtained after rigorous training and assessment, this prestigious licences signify Will's proficiency in coaching at a youth level professional level. Will's coaching approach emphasises technical proficiency, tactical intelligence, and character development. He believes in creating a positive and inclusive environment where players can thrive both as athletes and individuals. His coaching style is characterised by encouragement, patience, and a genuine passion for the game.

Technical Coach

We are thrilled to have Maggie join our Technical Staff. Maggie has played for Airdrie Soccer her entire soccer career with her highly tiered Airdrie F.C. Thorns team. Maggie is currently enrolled in the prestigious University of Calgary Kinesiology Bachelor of Science program. She is looking to advance her studies on the health of young athletes, focusing on injury prevention, adolescent growth impact research, and the importance of understanding the biometrics of the body under the stress of sport. Maggie has a particular interest to inspire the next generation of girls playing the sport of soccer. It is a high priority of hers to be an integral part of recruiting and retaining girls in sport.
