COACHING REQUIREMENTS

Like all sports and instructional programs, soccer is undergoing a change where program standards and requirements are becoming mandatory. Why is this change coming.

If sport is to be a safe haven for young children to grow and nurture a love for physical activity and challenge, then sport needs to ensure that those delivering the programs possess the necessary skills and understanding of coaching and safe sport. With these in place, the desire is that more children will continue to pursue sport as a lifetime commitment to physical well-being.

For the coaches, it is hoped that with greater understanding and certification, they will possess greater confidence and understanding of the program needs and delivery.

Below is a list of links to support your role as a coach.

ADSA COACH REGISTRATION:

You will need to fill out a Volunteer Application on your Airdrie Soccer account so that we can give you full access to the Powerup App for your team. To do so, please log in, make sure you have your own profile in your family (along with your kids) if your spouse is the primary guardian and click on 'Volunteer Now/Team Official Application'. Once you have filled out a Volunteer Application, we can give you the ability to manage your team.
